Aaron,

Love is blind - and I do love NYC, so maybe I don't know (but maybe I do) - but even if I did, my response is the same as a famous local coffee guru ...."I don't kiss and tell".... :-)

Tarry,

Fantastic post. The elegant combination of words and pictures took me to NY without ever leaving the comfort of my chair. However, I remain concerned with the glowing commentary on the coffee you tasted there. Knowing that you have a blind affection for the city, I'm worried that "everything" tastes better in NY to a guy like you. Even the coffee in those quintessentially NY blue cups with the Greek motif might merit critical acclaim.
So how good was it really? A gibraltar in NY is better than, equal too, or less than a gibraltar at say... Crema?
I mean when it comes to coffee we're still the sharp end of the spear out here on the West Coast right? Right?!?!
